“Why pay for a prompt when I can ask the AI myself?”

The question every buyer asks. Here is the answer, on a real build.

What you said, and what it heard

One sentence leaves every design decision to the model, and the model fills each one with the average of everything it has read. A prompt fills them in first.

Build me a premium companion app for a home robot.
Layout
a hero, 3 cards, a strip of logos
Type
the default sans, at the default sizes
Colour
a purple gradient, somewhere
Spacing
cramped where it matters, loose where it does not
Motion
a fade on everything, or nothing
Depth
a drop shadow on every card
Phone
whatever is left over
Restraint
every effect it knows, all at once
Filled in by the modelWritten in the prompt

It did exactly what it was told. The telling was the problem.

The prompt on the left, the build it produced on the right. Scroll, and the lines light up at the second of the recording they are on screen.

Build a mobile-first React web app called Wren, the companionapp for a fictional home robot. Design at 393px wide, fullyfluid, installable-PWA feel, dark dusk palette: background#12100e, text #f3ede4, muted #a89e91, Halden amber #f2b766(Wren's signal colour, shared with its maker Halden Robotics),dusk blue #9db8ff (the evening outside, used for Maya's side:avatar, plans, the towel). Fonts: Literata (weight 350 to 400,tracking -0.02em, italic for the accent word) for headings andbig numbers, Onest for UI. Pad the top byenv(safe-area-inset-top) plus 14px and the bottom byenv(safe-area-inset-bottom).Components:AppShell: holds a screen state (home, talk, map, teach). Allfour screens stay mounted and stacked absolutely; the active oneanimates in with opacity 0 to 1 and translateX 24px to 0 over0.5s cubic-bezier(.2,.7,.2,1). A floating smoked tab bar(near-opaque rgba(30,25,21,.92), hairline border, inset tophighlight, no backdrop blur, radius 28px, tab labels 11px) withHome, Map, a raised 56px orb button in the middle (conicgradient amber, dusk blue, apricot #f3d2ae, spinning 6s, with aneutral dark drop shadow) that opens Talk, Teach and Wren. Thetab bar slides away while Talk is open.HomeScreen: small 'Good evening, Maya', heading 'Wren istidying' with 'tidying' italic amber. A live camera card (radius28px, about 46% of the height) showing a photo of a living roomwith the robot, a slow Ken Burns zoom, an amber scanning lightband sweeping down every 4.5s, and three object tags drawn ascorner brackets with a label chip on a solid dark plate, 11px('floor lamp 0.97', 'mug 0.93', 'cushion 0.88') that fade andscale in from 0.92 one after another on an ease-out. Top-left'Live · Living room' pill on a smoked chip (80% near-black,hairline border) with a steady red dot. A smoked strip flushacross the foot of the card (rgba(16,13,10,.84), hairline topborder, no blur) with an SVG progress ring animating to 62% and'Tidying the living room / 9 of 14 things put away · 6 minleft'. Below: two stat cards (Battery 78% with an animated fillbar; Next up 'Water plants 20:30 · 3 rooms'), four quick actionsquircles (Fetch, Tidy, Plants, Guard) that scale to .92 whenpressed and show a toast 'Tidy added to the queue', and a'Tonight' list of three timed tasks that rise in with stagger.TalkScreen: a 210px orb made of two blurred conic gradientsrotating in opposite directions, a thin ring and a glossy radialcore with a neutral dark drop shadow (no coloured halo). Drive aCSS variable --amp from requestAnimationFrame: while listeningor speaking it follows a noisy sine, while thinking it idleslow; scale each layer from --amp. On open, play a script: thequestion types at 38ms per character, state label goesListening, Thinking, Wren, the reply types at 30ms percharacter, then a task card springs up from 40px with 'Fetchreading glasses · 0:40'. Pressing the orb replays it.MapScreen: an isometric floor plan in CSS 3D: a 300px squarewith transform rotateX(58deg) rotateZ(var(--mz)), five roomtiles, walls as thin divs rotated upright with a lit top border, room labels counter-rotated to face the viewer. Dragginghorizontally changes --mz with inertia. An SVG on the floordraws a red dashed rejected route through a small red toy, thenfades it while an amber route draws in; a small glossy puck witha soft dark contact shadow walks the path using getPointAtLengthover 7s; an ETA counts down in the bottom sheet.TeachScreen: an SVG canvas that projects a 3D stick figure (15joints) every frame: rotate around Y by a drag-controlled anglewith slow auto-spin, tilt the camera 0.3 rad, apply simpleperspective, draw bones thicker and brighter when closer.Animate the wrists through a towel fold and draw the towel as adusk-blue quad between them. Add a tilted floor ring with ticks,a REC pill timer, and four steps that tick off every 2.4s.Respect prefers-reduced-motion by stopping loops and showing endstates. Use real buttons and aria-labels on icon controls.Inactive screens are display:none, not just opacity 0, so onlythe active screen is rendered at rest; the incoming screenslides in from its offset with @starting-style and stays fullyopaque, so it is readable on every frame.

The footage comes with it

Every clip the demo plays is in the pack, ready to drop into your build. Free prompts' footage needs a free account; Unlimited prompts' footage comes with Lifetime and Agency.

Before you decide

Will I get the exact page shown in the demo?
Close, but not pixel-identical, AI tools vary between runs. The prompts pin down colors, layout, motion timings and accessibility so results land reliably near the demo; a follow-up message usually closes any gap.
Do I own what I build?
Yes, entirely. Everything a prompt generates is yours to use, sell, hand to a client or modify, with no attribution. Only the prompt text itself stays ours. Details in the license.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
A lifetime seat is a one-time payment, so there is nothing to cancel. Agency and other subscriptions cancel anytime from Account → Manage billing, and access runs to the end of the paid period. Any purchase in its first 14 days gets a full refund, email support@nightmarquee.com.
How often do new prompts drop?
Unlimited members get every new drop automatically, and some drops are free for everyone. The countdown on the homepage shows when the next one is due. The weekly email carries every drop, opt in from the footer, or follow @nightmarquee on X.

Free prompts are free, no account needed. A lifetime seat is $99 once for the first 100 seats, then $199. Agency is $299 a year for 5 people. 14-day refund, no questions.

Your tool builds it. The prompt decides what it builds.
