Velvet Antenna, Lisbon, on air since 2014

CH 02 · Showreel1:30

Forty-one videos, one long transmission.

The reel runs ninety seconds and cuts on the snare, never on the bar line. Every frame in it was shot on film or tape and played back through a cathode ray tube before the grade.

CH 03 · The looksince 2014

Chrome, velvet and one green tube.

Hard light from one side, a drape behind, nothing else in the room. The green comes from a real phosphor monitor kept just out of frame.

June Ferro, Static Bloom.

Three minutes forty-eight of one rabbit-ear antenna and the singer's reflection in its chrome. Shot in a single night on 16mm, then rolled through the tube twice until the edges bled.
