Why we shape

Most of a surf is paddling. The part you remember lasts about three seconds, so that is the only part we shape for.

  1. 01 OutlineDrawn off a 1974 template, then pushed 12 mm wider through the hips.
  2. 02 BottomSingle to double concave, sanded by hand under a low raking light.
  3. 03 GlassTwo layers of 6 oz on the deck, tinted resin, 38 hours on the stand.
