Ines Calder builds 26 steel frames a year in Bristol, each one cut for a single rider. Give your height and every tube on this page changes to match.
Move it. The tubes that change are marked on the drawing below.

Each tube is marked from your numbers, then mitred by hand to meet its lug. A joint that sits 1 mm proud is filed again, never filled.
Every joint is heated with a torch until the brass flows into the gap. The lugs spread the load, so the tubes can stay thin and the frame stays lively.
Height first, then tubing, enamel and groupset. Save a build, sleep on it, compare it with another tomorrow. Nothing is paid until you hold a bench slot.

Setting the frame on the bench in 3D.
The deposit is refunded in full until the tubes are cut.
Ines measures you, draws the frame, cuts and brazes every joint and files each lug by hand. Nobody else touches it. That is why there are 26 a year, and why the drawing above starts with your height and not a size chart.

Your numbers go onto the bare tubes before anything is cut.

The jig holds every angle while the brass runs into the lugs.

Aligned to 0.5 mm, then tagged with your name and sent to enamel.
